Online Pilates Lesson Planner FAQs

Questions are welcome. Even the awkwardly specific ones.

Here are clear answers about creating plans, using them in class, membership, devices and what is coming next. No need to decode a mysterious software manual written by a committee.

Getting started

First things first.

What does the Online Pilates Lesson Planner do?

It helps Pilates teachers create, customise, save, organise and share lesson plans. You can begin with Ask Genie, copy a shared plan or build your own from the exercise library.

Who is the Planner for?

It is designed primarily for Pilates instructors, instructor trainers, trainees and studio owners. Students can also use suitable Stream Plans for guided home practice. The audience pages explain the most relevant uses for each group.

Do I need to be good with computers?

No. The main tools are straightforward, and getting-started tutorials are included. If technology occasionally behaves like a cupboard door that will not quite close, member support is available.

Can I see a plan before joining?

Yes. Visit the Free Pilates Lesson Plans page to open real examples without creating an account.

Creating plans

From idea to sequence.

What are the three ways to start a lesson plan?

You can click Ask Genie to generate a complete plan, copy and edit one of the 10,000+ shared plans, or build your own by choosing exercises from 15 categories.

Does Ask Genie use AI?

Ask Genie is the current Planner’s one-click sequencing algorithm. Click the button and it creates a plan from the exercise library. The rebuilt Planner’s newer intelligent planning tools are covered on the Coming Soon page.

Can I change a generated or shared plan?

Yes. You can reorder exercises, edit descriptions, add cues and notes, include your own exercises and choose what information appears in the finished plan.

Can I add my own exercises?

Yes. You can add exercises and teaching information that are specific to your approach.

Can I request an exercise that is missing?

Yes. Members can request an exercise from inside the Planner. New exercises and updates are added regularly.

Can I copy another teacher’s shared plan?

Yes. Copy it into your own account, then adapt the copy without changing the plan that was shared.

Using plans

Teach it your way.

What are Short, Long and Stream Plans?

Short Plan is a compact teaching reference. Long Plan includes fuller teaching information such as steps, benefits, modifications and precautions. Stream Plan is a video-based version for guided practice or teaching support.

Can I print or download my plans?

Yes. You can open plans online and download or print PDFs, depending on the version you want to use.

Can I email a plan?

Yes. Plans can be emailed, which is useful for preparation, record keeping and appropriate home-practice support.

Can I use the plans with my own clients and classes?

Yes. Review every plan first and adapt it to the experience, needs and abilities of the people you teach, within your professional scope.

Can I organise plans into courses?

Yes. You can group related lesson plans into courses for repeat teaching and progression planning.

Can I manage plans for individual students?

Yes. The included Student Management System lets you store and manage lesson plans for individual students.

The rebuild

What is coming next?

Is the Planner being rebuilt?

Will the rebuilt Planner work better across devices?

That is one of the aims of the rebuild. The final supported-device details will be confirmed before launch.

What will happen to current members?

The transition arrangements are still being finalised. Existing members will receive clear information before any change affects their access. The latest approved information will be kept on the Coming Soon page.

Should I wait for the rebuilt Planner before joining?

The current Planner already provides the lesson-building, editing, organising and sharing tools described throughout these pages. Join for what is available now; treat future features as future features until they are confirmed.
