In this lesson plan (that you downloaded above), you’ll have fun with matwork exercises that focus on the Inner Thigh (include exercises using the Mini Ball and Magic Circle). The peak exercise in the plan is Shoulder Bridge which is one of Joseph Pilate’s classic 34 exercises.

Firstly, Shoulder Bridge is an inner thigh stretch (which is the theme for this Pilates Lesson Plan).

Secondly, Shoulder Bridge is a fabulous balance exercise. Balance exercises have many benefits: Release value for built-up stress. Improve focus. Improves memory. Remain calm on the inside when chaos rages on the outside. Improves peak performance (if you’re an athlete). Find your centre of gravity and dance around its edges. Create a sense of fluid stability. Bathe in a calm equanimity. Builds coordination. Improves how your stand, walk and run. Help avoid falls (especially for the elderly).

Thirdly, Shoulder Bridge will give your glutes, hamstrings, abdominals, and back a great workout.
